Architecture + Design Review
This great tour will take you along, over and under the Thames on our brompton bikes. The route is almost all on the cycle paths, allowing for a relaxing and enjoyable ride. London is one of the cultural capitals of design and architecture and our tour will showcase some of its finest examples along this route, away from the tourist traps. A designer guide, local to the area, leads the tour.
This route will take you along the Thames path from Greenland Dock east making several stops before reaching Greenwich. Cycling through Wren’s Naval College and along the riverside admiring several sculptures and architectural examples before reaching the Peninsula where we board the cable car and fly over the Thames. The views are stunning giving you a 360-degree vista of London. On the north side of the river we cycle west to Trinity Buoy, London’s only lighthouse now home to the sound installation ‘longplayer’ and a site of many sculptures and Container city. We have the opportunity to take a break for refreshments and food (not included in costs) at the Bow Creek container café before the return. We resume along the riverfront once more until we return to Greenwich via the foot tunnel, under the Thames before returning to our base at Greenland.
This tour has been feature in Cycling Active magazine and several blogs. See our blog section for further info.
